Cimarron Bed and Breakfast in Aireys Inlet was built in the late 1970s of large, hand-hewn local timbers (Mountain Ash and Messmate) with wooden pegs and ship-lap joins. A latter day architectural folly! All guests are invited to relax in the large living area which features vaulted ceilings of Canadian Hemlock. Upstairs rooms are connected by balconies and an internal bridge. The walls of the house display the owner's unusual collection of indigenous art from around the world. Cimarron is a film buff's delight with a collection of over a thousand titles from many genres: world movies, classic, drama mystery, thriller, comedy, experimental and documentary. No extra charge. Video player and tv in each room. If you're a reader, leave your own books at home and dive into Cimarron's diverse collection of fiction, biography, history, nature, travel, gardening, mystery, science fiction, American Indian Studies, film, fine arts, cultural studies, and the history of science and technology. These books (over 3,000 volumes) are available for purchase. The grounds of Cimarron include five acres of native bush garden, bordering on the Great Otway National Park. No other buildings or man-made structures can be seen from any part of this peaceful landscape. Five species of wild parrots and cockatoos and many other birds, as well as kangaroos, wallabies and occasionally Koalas, may be seen in the grounds throughout the year. It's a 3 minute drive to any of seven local beaches: swimming, surfing, wind-surfing, fishing, and snorkeling; 15 minute drive to Point Addis, one of the world's most beautiful beaches; 20 minute drive to Bell's Beach, Australia's premier surfing beach. Within a 25 minute walk from the house are several wide sandy beaches with rocky headlands, tidal pools, impressive rock platforms, cliff top walks, sandy coves and a picturesque grotto and rock arch.

Cimarron has three comfortable and very private guest rooms: Blue, Eagle and Cloister. All rooms are equipped with queen-sized beds, video, tv and private bathrooms.

Eagle: A large, luxurious upstairs room with panoramic ocean views in one direction and the Great Otway National Park in another. Gourmet continental breakfast. Additional fold out single bed.
