Aireys Inlet Accommodation : A selection of unique accommodation venues in Aireys Inlet.
Are you familiar with the children's
television series 'Around the Twist? ' If you are then you might be
aware that this series was filmed at Aireys Inlet and specifically
at Split Point Lighthouse. This 34 metre historic lighthouse, fondly
known to locals as 'the white lady', is one of the first memorable
views you get as you arrive in this quaint seaside town. Rest assured
however, that it will not be your last. The Great Ocean Road Memorial
Arch is not far from Aireys Inlet at Eastern View. It commemorates
the work of soldiers in constructing the Great Ocean Road. The Great
Ocean Road begins before this arch but it is nevertheless a favourite
spot for visitors to take photos. Be careful here as the road can get
quite busy! Aireys Inlet is home to secluded beaches, cliff top walks,
wilderness walks but also has a good selection of restaurants and all
this only 90 minutes from Melbourne. For the adventurous there is horse
riding, surfing, swimming, fishing or even canoeing. For those who
prefer to relax why not a massage in the privacy of your own accommodation.
There are no big resort type hotels in Aireys Inlet and there never
will be. This is the seaside town you come to if you want to avoid
the crowds. Even during peak season you can always find a section of
beach, river or bush to call your own. Aireys Inlet accommodation is
quite eclectic! Funky hideaways, friendly B&B's, a 4 star motel,
central caravan park, lots of cottages, villas and house to rent and
all of this is within minutes of a marine and national park. For more
